The new and improved SEOptimise team 2011 saw the addition of many new members of staff to SEOptimise as the business continues to grow. On the Search Team we’ve now got Daniel Bianchini, Pak Hou Cheung and Gillian Cook working on SEO, and Shaad Hamid and Tamsin Mehew working on PPC. Over in Business Development, the (now not so) new faces are Daniel Braddock and Carla Nadin, whom some of you may already have met at Internet World last year. Last but not least, Nick Clarke joined the team in January as a copywriter. You can see photos of the SEOptimise team members new and old on our Meet the SEOptimise Team page, and you can expect to see everyone out and about at exhibitions and conferences in 2012! | | The 2012 conference circuit We love attending and speaking at conferences, and this year will be no exception. Look out for us at SES, SMX, A4UExpo, SasCon, LinkLove, SearchLove, BrightonSEO and many more. SearchLove was a particular favourite with the Search Team last year, and Kevin and Stuart even made it over to PubCon in Las Vegas! | | Industry updates The world of Search is continually evolving, but 2011 was a year of particularly major change, which every last SEO has had to adapt to in order to stay in the game. The most significant change was undoubtedly the infamous Panda update, which prompted some big SEO strategy changes across the industry. With the increasing importance of social signals, the rolling out of SSL search, the launch of Google+ and Search Plus Your World, and other smaller but still significant changes such as the freshness update and the removal of Yahoo Site Explorer, it’s been a challenge staying abreast of all the latest developments! But that’s what makes SEO such a great industry to work in – we’re always kept on our toes and our knowledge is always growing and adapting. What could 2012 have in store? | |
