AYTM Research has conducted a detailed market research study of the smartphone market as it stands now towards the end of 2012, and created the following infographic which examines what consumers looking to get a new smart phone are most interested in, particularly looking at the iPhone market. I was surprised to learn just how many people do own a smart phone (73%) and that Android has a larger market share than the iPhone (40% to 23%). How do you, the reader, fall into this study? As for me, I'm keeping my current Android smart phone.

In line with the release of Apple's iPhone 5, Seattle-based comedy video makers Satire Channel created a parody commercial that pokes fun at the phone's longer screen. The video entitled 'The iPhone 5 (Parody): A Taller Change Than Expected', ridiculously-reimagines the iPhone 5 getting a 795% taller screen as an increased display size.
