Your Daily Snapshot for Tuesday, October 23, 2012   Letters to the President Every day, people from all over the United States write to the White House — to describe what life is like in their communities, ask questions, and express both triumphs and frustrations. And every afternoon, the White House Correspondence Office packages ten of those letters for President Obama to read. It's part of how he keeps in touch with what's going on around the country.
