This week, the Navy and the Department of Defense hosted events highlighting the work the military is doing to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and meet President Obama’s vision of a new energy future for the United States.

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar spoke at the Solar Power International Conference in Los Angeles to highlight solar power projects on public lands and Secretary of Energy Steven Chu answered questions from Twitter and Facebook about making homes more energy efficient
